I recently bought a 2010 H16. The jib is in decent shape, save for the fact that the head and tack grommets/cringles have corroded to the point of disintegration. The holes in the sail fabric don’t seem too stretched out, and should be able to take an original or oversized spur grommet. However, given that I don’t have any grommet left, I’m left to ask: What’s the original grommet size for the H16 jib head and tack?

Hey, there. I just replaced both of mine for the same reason, major corrosion on both and my boat has never been capsized. Just thought I would mention how I removed the old ones because it was quite easy. I just put a very small sanding drum on my dremel and went around the center of the grommet which ground off some of the metal. It does get hot so you do not want to grind too fast., Then I put a small cutting wheel on the dremel and put a cut into the side where the grommet flared when it was installed. That way a screwdriver goes into the small cut and one quick turn and the metal pops off, I can not think of an easier way to get one off. It worked quite well. Good luck with it.
