When it is choppy, releasing the jib traveler line can get 'interesting', as the line gets caught up in the pulley. Likely, the centre hole of the pulley is worn, and it is a pain when the line gets jammed underneath the pulley, as the pulley 'wobbles'. Anyone have a 'fix' for this? TY |

You can buy a new traveler car or drill out the old sheave (pulley) and replace it with a new one and a clevis pin. West Marine or McMaster-Carr should have what you need. I did this just last year. This has been discussed on this forum before. Do a search. |

you are talking about the traveler block in the corner casting of the 2015 boat? Put a plastic shim under it to remove the wobble and replace the block if it's badly worn. You can also put a piece of line around the front cross bar just before the corner casting, this works to hold the traveler line up as it enters the corner casting and prevents the line from jumping off the block. |

The members of this Forum are amazing. TY Rich for this very practical advice, and after the Forum search, thanks to Anton Laguardier for his postings and pictures of the restoration of his H16. I will start with a plastic shim and go from there. On Weds, we will enjoy the 4th week of Club Racing, so we are back in action. However, the border remains closed. keep safe |
