Post subject:  H16 Jib Wire Replacement

The wire in my jib parted out right it the middle of the jib. Can anyone confirm the dimension and type of coated stainless wire used in the jib and where to order it?

Thank you all in advance!

Jib Luff Wire / 16 Race Thimble both ends 1/8" 7/19 15’ 8 1/2”

A rigging company should be able to supply. We do not sell raw wire.

That is great information. One of my boats had the sails packed up with a steel anchor. Galvanic corrosion caused the luff wire to break. This has been on my list to replace as the sail is quite good otherwise. I think the luff seam will need to be sewn with this installed or the thimble ends done with the wire installed in the sail.
