I just got a new OEM double grommet tramp and I pre-bent my side rails by about 2ā and tightened the laces tight then released and it pulled tight 1/2ā for a total bend of 1.5ā is this too much bend? Iām worried about stressing the side rails too much. Attaching pictures for reference. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I have the same question....and more. What is the metal tab on the inside of your front corner casting, and how does it attach? For securing your H16 to the road trailer? What diameter is the pink line for your jib traveler? Mine keeps slipping off the pulley. TY |

For securing your H16 to the road trailer? Yeah, it's a tiedown kit assembled by Hobie, they fasten to the interior crossbars of the trailer. Here's a link to the kit: https://westcoastsailing.net/hobie-16-custom-tie-down/ I love the tiedowns they make it super quick and easy to secure the boat and they don't ratchet so you can't over tighten and crush the hulls. What diameter is the pink line for your jib traveler? Mine keeps slipping off the pulley. It's 5mm dingy line. I got the lengths and diameters from this post by Matt back in 2014 (unsure if anything has changed since): https://www.hobie.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=49619 Note: it is a PAIN to feed the line through the jib traveler cars I used a coat hanger and had to really pick at it to get it fed through. |
