I just recently purchased an 1980 16' Hobie with '83 Hulls and have been breathing life back into the boat. I have replaced the trampoline and the shroulds and done some work on some soft spots on the hulls and I think that we are real close to getting her into the water. I have read everything in the manual and the black and white photos are lacking clarity. Would someone be so kind to maybe have an actual photo that I can see a stock set-up for the Jib and Main riginng through the claws and I have some blocks that I presume are for the boom and for the front Jib. I live in Corpus Christi and have a steady SE wind of 10-20 knots. I would appreciate any advice for sailing in these conditions. Thanks |

call your dealer and see if they have a h16 rig video in stock, great for beginners. it shows you in detail how to rig the entire boat, if memory serves me correct its our very own Matt Miller in the video. |

Thanks for the recommendation of the video. I have found the DVD and will be anxiously awaiting its arrival. I have all this water and wind and I want to get on it ASAP. I have also rigged the "EZ-Mast" for raising the the mast............still it appears as a two person job. ![]() This forum has been a great help to me already...... Thanks Doug |
