Post subject: | '88 Hobie 16 Hull Repair |
Hello, I recently acquired an '88 Hobie 16, but it needs some repairs. The right hull has a couple gashes and a soft spot surrounding those gashes. The damaged area is just ahead the front pylon. I was wondering the best way to approach repairing the hull. My current plan is to repair the damaged fiber glass first and then drill and inject epoxy. Is there a better way or something I'm not considering in this plan? Any advice is appreciated! Images of the damage: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

There was a good article by Rick Buchann in the May/June 2008 issue of Hotline on pages 16-17, "This Old Hobie: Blind Hole Repair". https://media.hobie.com/2010_archive/hobieclass/eHCA_Hotline05-06_2008.pdf |
