Post subject:  Is your main traveler centered on the rear beam?

When lacing my new tramp I realized that my traveler cleat and becket are not centered on the rear beam. From the center of the cleat and becket, it is 35.25" to the port casting and 37.75" to the starboard casting. That puts the traveler 1.25" off center on the beam. It's quite visible when sighting down the tramp lacing; the hardware is still within the lacing but it's offset significantly to port.

Is this just one more way that my boat was screwed up when manufactured or assembled, or are all of them actually like that? Can anyone else please supply some measurements?

I'm thinking I should correct this, so that the boat is trimmed the same on each tack when I'm sheeted in the same.

Are you racing or rec sailing? If racing, I’d fix it. If rec sailing, nope.
