Hey guys! I have a 84 Hobie16 Olympic Edition that I have owned since she was new. All the scrapes and scratches are my own doing. Laughing. I must be a traditionalist, because I really like that it still looks OEM after all these years. I am embarking on a complete restoration of the hulls and am looking to match them back to the original color. Anyone know what the name of the original Hobie blue was? Does anyone know the pantone or other color match for this color blue? Also, with 23 year old sails, I would LOVE to have a set made like my originals in Dacron with the colors as close to matching as possible. The trick is the white-red-white panels in the sails. Any tips or vendors that might be able to help make (dye) sail cloth to match this unique panel? Finally, what has to be changed out if I want to buy new front and real crossbars with integrated tracks? Do I need new corner castings as well? Thanks! Have a great week!
