Last weekend was the maiden on my rebuilt H16. My last Hobie was ten years ago. The tiller cross bar seemed way far away from the tramp when the rudders were down. I just don't remember if this is normal. They seemed locked down, I did replace the cams and buttons. Seems like the cross bar was about 18" aft of the tramp and slightly higher. Jay |

Berry, That sounds about right. |

18" aft of the crossbar is a bit far. There is no spec, but I think it is closer to 6-10" aft (at most) of the crossbar when the rudders are down. |

Hmmmm. Sounds like I better get the boat in deep water and play with the down locks. I seem to remember the bar level and about six-eight inches behind the tramp frame. Jay |

Rebuilt boat? Maybe it has Hobie 14 tiller arms? |

That could be! But I doubt it. What is the difference in length? |
