If any of you have sailed on Fanshawe Lake, you know it is tough a place to sail. I want ot hear from experience sailors how they would potentially rig their boats.

Fanshawe is a small man made lake with cliffs and trees all the way around. It wind is very shifty to say the least. In one spot on the lake there is no wind on the next you can't get the hull down and it changes rapidly.

The problem I had today in very gusty conditions up to 15 knots was in the light air the boat seemed comfortable and pointed well but in the gusts it really wanted to pitch pole. In a regatta situation how would you rig your boat? For the light air or the heavy winds? i.e. Rake forward or back?
