Hi all! I have a question, I have the standart hobie battens on my H-16, how do you make the sail flater or fuller with the batten tension? Please help. Thanks! |

Fuller? Less outhaul, less downhaul, Possibly more batten tension to "force" shape into the sail. Flatter? Just enough batten tension to remove wrinkles, more outhaul, more downhaul. |

Sooo....When do you want it fuller? When flatter? Incidentally, hobie_acores, I'm probably the only one on this site that's ever been to the Azores - Lajes Field, Tercierra 1967, 1968. Beautiful Island in the middle of the Atlantic. I didn't sail back then. Just a lot of spearfishing & riding my motorcycle around the Island. Rich |
