The H16 video is a must have for a new owner. Just came in the mail yesterday (Back Yard Boats in Virginia....1 day shipping to my front door...amazing). I really learned alot from it. Thanks Matt! |

Page 38 in 2007-08 Hobie catalog. "Video Factory Supplied Rigging" Catalog# 84430026 "14/16" $14.95. Since I'm a new owner I needed information along with some visual aid on setting up my 1981 H16. I basically had things covered but there were a few things I had wrong that would have been a pain in the butt figuring out while underway. The part about releasing the outhaul before raising the main sail and setting downhaul was something I may never have figured out. I have invested probably twice as much money as the original purchase price of $500 in my 1981 H16 and ALOT of rubbing compound (Getting slowly but surely to gloss). I now essentially have a new boat which I am VERY proud of (Strong hulls, little prior use, crisp sails, new rigging & tramp, etc.). I want to make sure I get EVERYTHING right. This video was definatly a correct decision to buy before I take my boat out on her first trip on Labor Day Weekend. "mmiller" of this site is the instructor. |
