Post subject: | WHITE PAINT FRAME |
I was looking at a used Hobie 16 and all the metal was white. The mast with comp tip, tramp frame, corner castings, tillers, and tiller connector. It looked like a heavy white paint and was chipping. The owner said the paint was a factory option called the FORMULA OPTION. Has anyone ever seen or heard of this?? Bill |

Yep, it came out somewhere in the early to mid 90's. I don't think it lasted too long. sm |

And that's why they weren't made for very long. |

Minus the chipping I bet that's a pretty sharp boat. Also the added weight of paint! ![]() |

I crewed on a formula when I first started sailing, Definately a cool looking boat. |
