winter is comming here in canada. i have a trailer, tarp and store my boat outside. my question is it better to leave the hobie on the trailer or take it off the trailer and rest it on a leval grass lawn? on the lawn the hulls would all be touching and distribute the snow weight evenly. the trailer would have presure points where the rollers touch the hulls. looking for advice.....thanks |

The snow is already falling here in Utah. This weekend was cold and rainy with some snow. I store my H16 on its trailer with a tarp over it. I put the mast up on hooks on the outside of my garage on the South side. It gets more sun and the snow very seldom settles there. All I have to do to get the snow off the trailer and tarp is to shake it a little. I only do this if the storm drops more than about 6 inches or so. I have been doing this for about 3 winters with no problems so far. Good luck. |

Definetly on the trailer. The ground will have moisture and it would be better for the hulls to be off the ground. |

Thats crazy! We still have 90 degree days and 65 to 70 at night. The wind has just been in fits and spurts. Not good for sailing especially since I have been going crazy to take the 16 out! |

Is snow that white stuff? I've never seen any here. The coldest it ever gets is the high 50s. |
