Hi all. I would like to know if there is an adjustment to keep the rudders in the up position more securly? When I lift my rudders they will stay in the up position but any slight bump or movement of the tiller crossbar and they will drop, especially the right rudder. This makes it a bit of a pain while lifting the rear of the boat pulling it up onto the beach.

Usually the tiller crossbar sits below the level of the rear crossbar when the rudders are up. I used to unhook the shock cord that holds the clip for the tiller crossbar and use it to hold the tiller extension. Thats the usuall culprit for the rudders coming down. Plus it keeps the extension from flopping around. There isn't any adjustment for holding them up, its usually just the tiller arm being lifted up that "releases" the rudders from the up position.

Thanks Karl. I figgered there was not a whole lot I could do. I get in the rear middle and lift the entire back of the boat up and usually bump the tiller crossbar with my legs. I will just take the tiller crossbar off then lift I guess. Not a serious issue. I am getting excited for the season, I finally got the trailer out of my backyard as the snow melted and dug the boat out of the storage garage. All is perfect and ready to go.
Thanks again!!

short bungie to hold the tiller cross bar to the rear crossbar works great for me.

Stop putting the tiller on the tramp! That always makes the rudders fall down.

cheers
