Post subject: | Need Help - Rudder Locking Cam Adjustment |
I am unable to get a rudder down into the locked position on my Hobie 14? Sailing with an unlocked rudder is a bore, tiresome, and hard on the equipment. Is there an adjustment for the cam or do you just have to make sure its in the proper position to recieve the upper rudder casting? |

I had the same problem before I knew how to fix it. There's a nylon plunger underneath the rudder cam (the black thing). Take a flat head screwdriver, push down on the plunger (try not to damage it), and the rudder cam should snap back up. Voulah |

Take a look in the FAQ section of this forum. There is a detailed piece on Cams and rudder adjustment. http://www.hobiecat.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=467 |
