Just bought my first cat, an 84 mod 16. Need to change some minor parts, but there is no local shop where I live (NC). What is the best online shop for parts?

First I would checkout the Hobie dealers at Kitty Hawk and Myrtle beach. give them a call and have them send you a Hobie catalog. The online catalog here has the same stuff, but no prices, and you can't order online (helps keep the dealers in business). For most stuff, Hobie OEM parts are the best. For other stuff (online) there is Murrays, Salty Dog, and others.

Where in NC are you located?

I am NC and just ordered from Backyard boats in VA. They have an online ordering system and got an immediate email confrimation. IF you know what you need it worked fine. The store in Kitty Hawk, last time I checked...which was summer before last, did not have a lot of "Stuff". There used to be a place in Wilmington, but I don't see their listing anymore.

The place in Myrtle sells 16's so they should have the rest of the accessories. I just used the BYB because the web interface was easier.
Just download the pdf catalog and type in part numbers........

I'm north of Durham.

I've had really good service from www.murrays.com
They usually ship the same day.

Shhh... we don't talk about them too much here; it's just rude on Hobie's own web site.

Keep your local Hobie dealer in business. You can't pay for the advice and assistance you'll get from them.

Opps, sorry. The nearest dealer is 70 miles from me. I'll keep it to myself.
