Post subject: | Jib Rigging |
I just got my Hobie in the water this weekend after 7 years. Broke a hull and finally got new hulls installed and the boat re-reigged.. Anyway my jib only has one Jib hank on it at the top. Seems there should be more. How many jib hanks should be on the jib? And where are they typically located? Thanks. |

I have a hank at every batten. That's not right nor wrong but it sometimes minimizes the struggle when raising or lowering the jib in stiffer winds. |

for the H16 to have proper rig tension you only need on hank at the top. Remember the Jib hold the mast up while sailing not the forestay, the forestay should be flapping in the wind with no pressure on it. |
