I see that the new Outback can stack boat on boat for transport. Is there any additional info about this method? I'm looking at purchasing a trailer and stacking two kayaks this way will change what I purchase if its possible to transport this way for long periods of time. Greater than 24hrs on the trailer would be common. Curious to know where contact as made and if this is an approach that was specifically designed or if they sort of mate up more or less because they are flat.... and it seamed like a cool thing to try... |

The stackability was intentional in the design. The top kayak mainly rests on the gunnels of the bottom kayak, and the bow areas nest nicely on top of one another. As an extra precaution on long trips, you may want to use a moving blanket between the two - but it isn't required. |

I have a 2018 PA12 and waiting for an outback to arrive. Would those be stackable as well? |

I just purchased a 2019 outback and 2019 compass. My dealer (only sells and services Hobie) advised putting the outback on the bottom because it is the heavier of the two. The compass fits nicely on the outback. I use pool noodle at the bow and stern where handle eyes might rub. |
