Post subject: | rear hatch/battery question |
I was wondering if I install a round hatch in the back area of a 2019 outback if there is room for the Hobie battery mount to fit. Has anyone installed one and mounted their battery there? I don't want to have it installed and not be able to use it for the battery. Thanks so much for any input. |

FPV also have a brilliant hatch kit for their lithium batteries... The 17.5 AH battery fits perfectly. |

Thanks for the pics. I recently installed the rear 8” hatch and oriented it with the lid to open toward bow (opposite the pic shown). This orientation from a You Tube rigging video. Is there any difference other than can’t easily access while on the water? Also, I noticed the rudder pull line moves across the hatch opening when pulled and cleated. Is there a need to route the line around the hatch under the hull or is this OK? Thanks for any advice. |
