Decided to just go for it and scored a new one instead of buying used.
Got a nice discount for a blemished boat. The blemish is on the rail behind the seat. It looks like a melted spot or a spot that stuck to the mold. Any ideas on what the cover it with? Perhaps tape it off and a shot of flex seal or 3 m undercoating?

Cover the blemish with a bullseye sticker

If the blemish is a thin spot or a hole I would plastic weld it. If it is just a slight mar hide it with fish blood :)

I’m curious where did you get your blemished yak. Was it from a dealer or does Hobie off load them?

Looks like it's aesthetic only to me. Cover that blemish with Boondox landing gear. You'll love having it.

Are your rudder steering handles hard to turn? We just bought a 2020 Outback and I think they adjusted the rudder cables too tight. It's really hard to turn. A lot harder than the 2019 we demo'ed and ones that I've seen in the showroom. Ten times harder to turn than my PA14.

Did yours have deep cuts around the scupper hole receiver?

I just purchased a 2020 from my hobie dealer. I picked it up at night so didn't really notice anything until the next morning that it had couple deep scratches on it :(

As for your blemish, I would plastic weld it. The only difficult thing would be to match the same texture for the top.
