At first I thought it was rain maybe getting in but I have cleaned the water out numerous times and it keeps coming back after I am done for the day. Is it normal to have a puddle of water in it after and few hours on the water? The first time I used it there was no water at all. I haven't even had it that long with hardly any use but would hate for Salt Water to wreck the electronics. |

Need more info. How much water is a puddle? Was the front hatch secured? Was the storage hatch sealed? What were the weather/surf conditions? I have a 2014 PA14 and have had several 2016 to 2018 Outbacks. They all got water at some point but not much- maybe a pint at the most. My 2019 Outback gets a little as well every now and then but still no more than a pint. |

It is normal to get some moisture in the hull. If you live in a humid area and then seal the boat up and get into cool water you will get a fair amount of condensation inside the hull. The electronics should always be in dry bags. Anything you need to keep dry. |

You can Delete this thread for now if you wish. I checked over the YAK again today because it is so new it shouldn't leak lol and found the stock MID hatch screws where kind of loose. SO I tightened those and checked the back hatch I put in and those where still tight. I wiped all the water out of the hull again and all I can think that happened is the two out of four times I found water in it was rain got in through the hatch and even tho I wiped it out maybe some was in the sides of the hull? But when I got back home after using it tonight all was still dry which makes me happy. I will keep and eye on it the next few trips just to make sure. Thanks for the reply's. |

Great advice. I found a little bit in mine after each trip(2 trips) right under the center hatch. Gasket was protruding out in the center and two screws were loose. All fixed now. |

Glad you found it! I'll pass that on to the factory. |
