Have a mirage outback 19 and the vantage chair that came with it. Really like the features of the chair - it just kills by back after a few hours and I usually go on long trips. Anyone made any chair mods, or have been able to swap out with other chairs successfully? Thanks |

I'm not sure what sort of mods you are looking for? I have had no issues on many 6+ hour outings using the available adjustments for the CTw seat- changing the slope of the base, angle of the back, and lumbar adjustment. |

Coming from years of fishing a PA14, the Outback 19 is just not as comfortable. The fact that no matter how hard I try, I cannot stay dry makes it very uncomfortable on the 12hr+ trips I use to do on the PA14. It took a while to get accustomed to it, but the high seat setting is most comfortable for me. I find making a conscious effort to frequently stand up and stretch is helpful. I have resolved to just using the outback for shorter trips, and on the bright side cover more ground in less time. |

Thanks. I've tried a lot of different chair positions. I will try this foam back support I saw on another thread: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073W ... UTF8&psc=1 I'm not optimistic that is going to do the trick. I was hoping someone had tried a different chair altogether... maybe even found a way to get a Vantage XT chair rigged in somehow. I realize that's stretch, but I've seen some pretty creative things. |
