| Post subject: | 2020 Outback Storage - Upright on Cradle or Hull Up on 2x4s |
I have a new 2020 Outback arriving, hopefully, on Wednesday. I am bit confused about long term storage. Should I build a rack with 2x4s and outdoor carpet about 5 foot apart and store the Outback hull up? Or should I buy a set of cradles for the 2019 part number 72020427 and mount them on 2x4s about 5 feet apart and store upright. The hull up is cheaper but more of a hassle to store. The upright is quite costly. Which approach, from a long term storage perspective, is best for the kayak and why? Thanks for the help. |

Best is upside down on the 2x4s. Like carried on a car top rack. The rails are strongest and can support load over time. |

I was thinking of using the cradles so I do not have to flip the kayak. I have ordered some; should I send them back and store hull up? |
