I purchased a new Hobie outback with 180 mirage drive in 2023. It is suddenly squeaking so loudly I can't fish with it. The sound seems to emanate from the lower spine between the 2 flippers where there is now an irregular gap. I have read that the 180 can't be lubricated. Is this true? If not, what type of lube and where to lube. There is no Hobie service center anywhere near me (VT). Please help me try to figure this out myself. Perhaps I could take the spine out and send it out to a service center? |
