Post subject: | Rudder Screw holes on hull don't align with rudder assembly |
Just received my 10.5' Passport and and I can't seem to install the bottom screw for the rudder. The bottom screw hole is a bit farther from the edge than the top and won't align with the hole in the rudder assembly. What to do? If I force the bottom screw in as is, it hits about a 1/4" to 1/8" away from the opening in the soft plastic but I am unable to get any closer. If I screw into the soft plastic next to the opening, will this leak? |

1. Partially install top screw. 2. Mount should contact hull. 3. Angle screw into lower hole (the tip of the screw will point into the hole of the hull insert) and thread in place. The screw will straighten and draw in the mount securely to the hull. 4. Finish threading in top screw. |
