Well the waiting game is over. Dealer told me a few days ago that the Passport R should be available in about a week. But because of on going issues with my fiancé's disabilities, I figured it was best that I should be in the boat with her, at least for awhile. So took another road trip on Sat and picked up a new Compass Duo. It's BIG but should do the trick. I ordered a new truck bed extender with a roller assist to help load "Big Momma" because I noticed that the old passport would scratch easily even when I was very careful. So will be a few days before I get to try her out, but just happy we both have kayaks now. One final comment on Roto vs Thermal: The plastic on the new compass feels harder than the plastic on the passport. Not sure if that is relevant or not but I did notice that right away. |

After having it awhile, I can honestly say the roller is a big help and worth every penny if you are doing things yourself as it is like having another helper with you. |
