My Hobie retailer currently has a Passport 10.5 in stock and I'm debating whether to get it or wait for the 10.5 R. My main concern is mounting an anchor trolley and possibly some more Scotty stuff. I have experience with rotomolded but I've never owned a thermoformed kayak. Just not sure if would be strong enough or not. TC |

I had a passport briefly and did not think there was anything really wrong with thermal other than it seemed softer than roto and seemed to scratch very easy compared to roto. \ That said I would go with the R or Compass because the resell value will be higher. The biggest issue I had with passport was the seat and not sure if they fixed that on the R or not. But compass now has Lynx seats which are very comfortable to me. |
