I don't think a Passport 12 is likely to be much more (if at all) stable than the older Outbacks. The length and width is the same and shape is similar enough to provide very similar performance. The Passport will be more comfortable, but the elevated seat height would probably diminish any perceived stability advantage the PP may hold over the Outback. It will be more comfortable though for sure, and the GT KU drive is much smoother and stronger than the drives that came with Outbacks of that age. That and the seat is likely to be the advantages you notice the most

After 18 years with my 2005 Outback I’m thinking about upgrading to the Passport mainly for comfort and a bit more stability, I’ve tried the accent seat install but didn’t feel comfortable raising the center of gravity that much higher especially in choppy water conditions.Apparently when your get into your seventies your reaction time becomes a little slower and more exaggerated! Any comments appreciated.Thanks
