All new Hobie Mirage Kayak announced today.

Hobie Mirage Lynx! It's like the popular i11 in thermoformed material.

This is going to be a winner!

I know it's thin - but do you have a height measurement?

About 10-12 inches... I'll have to ask.

I have been waiting on hobie to come out with this kayak ever since introducing the i11s. Should be a great platform, probably a little slow with those dimensions.
Does it come with the 180 arc crank drive or just regular 180 with kik ups? Looks like the arc cranks are in the videos.
When is the Lynx shipping to dealers?

Curious how this compares to the Compass from a speed perspective (drive) and does it paddle as well as the Compass.

Matt,

- is-it possible to put a GT drive instead of 180 KB ?
- are the scuppers holes same width for trolley ( like Outback 2020, Compas, etc.. ) ?

Bass Resource has a good write-up on the Lynx.

Yes, scupper holes are standard Hobie width for carts.

We will only pack them one way. The dealer could swap drives.

Post subject:  Re: Hobie Mirage Lynx

I placed a pre-order for a 2021 iTrek 11 back in March, but between the totally unknown release time (and to be clear, I admire Hobie for rejecting batches that didn't meet quality control) and the announcement of the Lynx, I cancelled my iTrek pre-order and placed a pre-order for a Lynx with the local Hobie dealer. This will actually be my first non-inflatable kayak, and I'm excited to get it and take it out on the local waterways!

So I had already bought a few things in anticipation of the iTrek, and now I'm wanting to make sure that they'll actually work with the Lynx. Specifically I bought the Hobie Kayak Cart for iBoats, part number 80045101. It sounds like that's NOT the one that will fit the Lynx, though, correct? It sounds like instead I should return these wheels (still just sitting in the delivery box) and instead order the Hobie Standard Plug In Kayak Cart, correct? Or will the one I already have work with the Lynx?

Thanks much in advance for any info you can provide!

UPDATE: I just received a response from Hobie proper answer the question about which wheels fit the Lynx, and it's not the one I have. As stated previously in this thread, it's any of the standard scupper plugin-in carts. I'll return the inflatable wheels and order one of the other ones. Hope that helps someone else!
