Seems out of stock everywhere any ETAs when we may see them available?

No ETA is showing. We have a bunch on back order.

Correction, they are sold out everywhere. Waiting patiently though. @Miller where are these manufactured? What is Hobie's plan to eliminate backlog increases? BTW, spoke on the phone with you a while back. Felt as if I was speaking with a celebrity, meaning I've followed your posts since '12 I believe.

Regards,

Rocky

Ha!

These parts come from Asia.

This is not just about supply chain issues. It is raw materials shortages, labor shortages, sales spikes, long lead times... many issues. There have been many changes in the purchasing and planning side of the business and they are working on this. More investment in staffing, raw materials, tooling, second sourcing.

Yup - been waiting almost a year for my h-rails.

I finally got tired of waiting for the H-rails I ordered back in July and found a pair of used 55" rails from a PA 14. I cut 1 1/2" off of one end and installed them as a temporary fix until the Lynx rails show up if they ever do. Not the best solution or the one I want but at least it works for now. I just turned 76 a few days ago and I hope I am still able to kayak when they finally show up. :)

My understanding is that the materials needed are arriving the first week of April. Still a few weeks away and then we would need to process / package and ship to dealers, so maybe at dealers by the end of April now. This shipment appears to cover a majority of the backorders.

Waiting for actual H rails, I made this from 1” square aluminum t track and 1” thick HDPE sheet stock. Since the photos I lowered the end pieces to reduce the rail height- the bottom of the rail is now 1” above the deck. I also added 3/8” HDPE pads under the end pieces to broaden the contact area with the deck.

Another view, showing the bend matching the hull curve.

Thanks fishtacos18! I see that Jackson Kayaks are now using essentially the same rail, calling it Tri Track.

Materials are not showing as received yet. Could be delays in the port.
