A few ideas for attaching accessories to the Lynx seat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-NAdzbq2aE For the installation of H-Rails, there is no need to drill additional holes on the seat, the existing holes are used, the front bolt goes to the back, because it is longer, and in the front I put a new even longer bolt with a length of 80mm. ![]() ![]() I also converted the seat from the Hobie Passport to the Hobie Lynx because I mainly use the kayak in the sea and the low center of gravity gives me a lot of extra stability. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OmVBodv1IM ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Today I made another improvement - an extension for the (845044) HANDLE END FITTING, so it grips the seat tube very well. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

That's some clever fabricating - WOW! Since the Hobie iTrek and Compass kayaks use the same seat assembly (Hobie part #87800000), this post applies to them as well. Much more applicable to the inflatable iTreks since hull drilling isn't in any way an option. Do you intend to sell parts or make the 3DP models available? Peter |
