Mine seems too short to adjust to proper ruidder alignment.

It's possible you have mounted the rudders on the wrong hulls.

Stand behind the boat and looking forward down the centerline of the boat...

Align the rudder blade with the hull. The tiller arm should angle inboard. If not... remove the rudders and remount on the opposite hulls.

The tiller crossbar (aluminum tube only) is supposed to be 75 3/4" long.
