Post subject:  Rudder/Tiller parts for Hobie 17 Sport?
I have a 1998 Hobie 17 Sport. I need a tiller arm for the right rudder assembly. However, my style of tiller arm does not match what is in the parts manuals for the Hobie 17 Sport. My tiller arms seem to match what is on the Miracle 20, with a retainer clip attached to a shock cord that clips on a pin to secure it to the tiller crossbar. The part number given for the tiller arm for the Miracle 20 is 40380011. Does anyone know if this is the part I need? Any idea on where I can get one?

Tiller arms are only a tube of aluminum... no fittings, so you want the one shown in the parts guide for the 17. You would then drill and install on the casting and then drill and install the tiller end fittings for the type you had. Parts sold separately.

I am also confused on what traveler car I need for the main. I think it's H159, but the description doesn't seem to match. Mine has 11 "axles" with "wheels" on each end of the axle. I appreciate any help!

That is a standard traveler car from Hobie Cat. Either #105 (stainless wheels)

You would have to have the newer deeper track to use the Brass wheel version.
