Hi All,
I'm new in this game and don't even have a hobie17 at this point, but i'm planning to make an offer the coming week.
I checked out this object earlier today and one thing that came to my mind was how to separate the hulls from the cross beams.
I'd like to do this in order to check all is fine.
The boat is ~20 years and the current owner doesn't know if it can be done.

All advises are highly appreciated.

There are Allen bolts located under the inboard hull lip at each beam. Undo the trampoline and remove it. Unscrew the bolts... the hulls can be pushed outboard to come off the beams. Take a look at the assembly manual... Support area and discontinued products section:

Thanks Matt.
OK, makes sense...
As described i'm considering this 'object' and later this week we'll see what happens.
IF i proceed with this boat it surely needs a serious paint job (no severe cracs, just cosmetics).
Do you know where i can buy full set of Hobie stripes and stickers for the Hobie 17??
Thanks.

We only have the current graphics... pin stripes and 36" diamonds. See a dealer. You can also see an auto detailer / painter that would have stripes of more kinds available.
