I understand the original H17 was 315# but the hulls were too weak, so they were stiffened at 340#. I am looking for an H17 and want to avoid the weak hulls. Boat came out in 1985. When were the hulls upgraded? |

I believe within the first couple of years. Don't have a better timeline. Matt Bounds may know due to weighing boats at events? |

Most of the early boats are long broken. Light, but fragile. The boat weights were up in the 340# range pretty quick - by mid-1986 or so. |
