I understand the original H17 was 315# but the hulls were too weak, so they were stiffened at 340#.
I am looking for an H17 and want to avoid the weak hulls.
Boat came out in 1985.
When were the hulls upgraded?

I believe within the first couple of years. Don't have a better timeline. Matt Bounds may know due to weighing boats at events?

Most of the early boats are long broken. Light, but fragile.

The boat weights were up in the 340# range pretty quick - by mid-1986 or so.
