Ordered a new 3-piece trampoline which arrived this week Started removing the old one piece trampoline by cutting it up There is no way to remove the sewn in rope from the grooves on the crossmembers. I got the sides removed. Do I grind out the grooves bigger on each end of the crossmembers? I don’t want to remove the crossmembers but maybe I am supposed to? Help!!!!! |

The one-piece tramp requires the crossbeams be removed to install / remove. You can grind an opening in the center of both beams' tracks to allow the 3-piece tramp to be installed/removed without removing the crossbeams. |

My boat came with a 3 piece tramp stock and openings in the center of the crossbars to install the tramp pieces, but its actually easier to slide the tramp pieces in from the end of the beams. IMO, you’re better off just removing the beams - it’s only a matter of unscrewing 4 bolts and sliding the hulls apart. In fact, you could probably get away with just removing one side/hull, so only 2 bolts. Taking the crossbeams off also gives you the opportunity to inspect the corner castings and tighten them if needed. sm |

My H17 had a one piece and I fully agree with SRM on it being far easier to unbolt the crossbars on one side of the boat and slide the tramp in. And also agree with SRM that it is always worth checking your crossbar castings to make sure they're snug. Mine would loosen up over a season. -Daniel |
