Hey people, I'm new here. I live in Ottawa, Canada. I am looking for a good used Hobie 14 as a starter catamaran. I am willing to spend about $1000, or trade for a Sunfish. My friend, a former sailing instructor, thinks it is worth about CDN $1000, as it is old and not in perfect shape, but has a new Sunrise sail, new mainsheet, as well as soon to have a new rudder blade, albeit non-Sunfish. I am having someone make one for me. However, it is a great cottage boat, obviously not good enough to really competitivly race, but a fun boat. I doubt any of you want a Sunfish, but if you have a Hobie 14 and want to sell or trade with me, and can get your boat to Ottawa, please give me a call at (613) 839-2475, and ask for Yash Keough, or e-mail. I crew on a Tornado but am looking for my own boat that I can handle by myself, like I do with my Sunfish. Thanks a lot! |
