Any new ideas for the mast to keep it from turtling? A year ago, I sold my 16, (sellers remorse big time!) so a week ago, I picked up a 14, can't wait. I've read most of the forum here, great! but a little leary of flippin, so, anybody got an extra Baby Bob or something that would help? Thanks guys, Jim. |

Many folks use plastic bottles, but I bought a spherical buoy from a sailing gear shop, and cut a slot into it, and tied it on. Works fine, looks better than a bottle. |

Not really fearing it, but, why waist time upside down when you can be on top. When I had my 16, as soon as it was over, I'd get on the low hull and bring it back up within minutes. |

Gary Hobie 21 SE Sail#415 and Hobie 14T owner Stars and Stripes Former owner HC16 and HC14 Yeah, try it with 2 meters of sail in the mud, in 30 kts of wind. Might just change your mind, especially as the mast may then fill with water, and the sail will need cleaning too. |
