Hi all! My first summer with Hobie 14 is on its finish line. Im really glad over my cat -- this was real fun. So far I have sailed lots of different monohulls, but no multis. As said once in this present forum: "sailing with h14 is a delicate dance..." So I wondering is anyone has experience sailing h14 with gennaker? Also I wondering is it worth to buy another pair of trapeze? Sometimes with wind up to 17 meters per second it seems worth of put this idea on the test - on the other hand H14 is sensitive enough to become too capricious... So has anyone experience with those kind of experiments? regards, Agur from Estonia |

check out the pictures area on this site...there's couple of 14's with a gennaker (or hooter sail) there too. http://www.whirlwindsails.com have a hobie day! Oh yea, unless you weigh 110Lbs and your crew is about the same I would not get another trapeze line. Unless your in a Hurricane, you'll never fly a hull. ![]() |

Hi! Thanks for the hint ![]() One day we took out my Hobie together with my friend with 16 m/s wind (force 7). We had only main sail, and most of the time I had to luff and/or loose the sheet not to pitchpole or nosedive, even if I were on trapeze and friend on the same time were on the edge. The waves were short, so lots of chopping. I wander, if we both should been in trapeze for better performance? |
