I changed from an old newcat 14 to a (also old) Hobie 14 T. I want to use the mast step link, but there are no holes in my mastbase and the maststep. Is it really succesfull, to drill the holes for the mast step link in this two parts? How can I find out the right point to drill in the mast step? |

You've got the original mast step / base from the late 60's / early 70's - when the only way to step the mast was to muscle it up. The position of the hole in the mast base is not that critical - just drill it in the center of the "knob" at the aft end. If your mast step has the rivet for a mast step pivot (hook on the mast base), just drill it out. |
