How many 14's are planning on being in Rehobeth this weekend for the H14 North Americans? Chime in if you or anyone you know is going. Will there be more than 10 boats? Maybe they will go ten deep.(wishful thinking) |

There are now two of us going from Va Beach--one guy had to back out. There is also one more coming from Richmond, VA. |

Well, according to the event site (and personal knowledge): Bruce "Wrinkly" Fields Mark "Satin Sail" Amico Dan "the Man" Berger Matt "Pretty Boat" Bounds Billy "Ugly but Fast" Jeffers Dan "Resistance is Futile" Borg Chris "The Wanker" Ufton Pat "The Crusher" Bisesi Boat 2 from VA Beach Boat From Richmond, VA Looks like we've got at least 10 boats. Too bad we couldn't get Pappy Caster's and Dr. Herb's boats there. It was fun playing with them last weekend. Dr. Bob (Merrick) is bailing out on us - he's taking grad school way too seriously. I wonder if any of the Rhode Island frostbite crowd will be joining us (Sandy Takacs?) |

man, thanks for the boring nick name--could have been something like 'Cat Reaper'. The other guy from the Beach is Dennis Marksbury. He hasn't been sailing 14s a lot, but is very competitive. The guy from Richmond is John Claytor. He's relatively new to sailing 14s, but has read every book on it and, as an engineer, over thinks everything. I think he may have the prettyiest boat this weekend. Mine is really nice, but all white and boring. No comments from the peanut gallery on my sail. You'll understand when you see it. |

OK, so I was at work and really busy and had to come up with something quick. How about "Junkyard Dan"? ![]() Mine's mostly all boring and white, too. Except for the blue tramp and the blue lines. |

I gotta nick name for you Dan. Just can't say it on a public Forum. You know you guys will miss me and Andy this year. Have a good time and I hope the wind is blowing a heck of a lot harder than it did last year! |

Don't think we don't want to, its just we finished off 7 straight days of racing last week on 20s, so we're done sailing for a few weeks (so my wife says......) We're going to have a 2 regatta 'Frostbite' series though, both are 14 only races and the first will be October 29 here in Clear Lake and the other will be as soon as ice is out (probably 1st or 2nd week of April) and that will be either in Des Moine or Storm Lake. Again, I hope you all have a good time. |

Uh, Thanks, Chris, you're a swell guy. After this weekend, I'd hate to hear any nick names. I'll go more into it on a different thread.. |
