Can I use 3/8 without drilling out the holes in the corner castings?

3/8"? Can't imagine using 3/8" line. It is too large and does not turn through the grommets well. We sometimes us 3/8" bungee, but that is different. 1/4 is all you need, but if you are convinced... use a short piece of 1/4 or 3/16 at the end to pass through the corner casting, or drill away!

Hey,

I am going to take the 1/4 out of mine and replace it with bungee so the tramp says tight instead of becoming loose. If you have line bungee is the way to go if you want to keep your tramp tight.

I don't like to use shock cord on the tramp since it streachs constantly. IF you want a tight tramp to keep your boat more rigid you should use a low streach line like Dacron and tighten it every once in a while.
