I if you follow this link http://www.thebeachcats.com/modules.php ... cle&sid=84 you will see that it talks about battens standing up, almost standing up etc Does anyone know what this means? |

I believe that if you lay the batten and sail on a flat surface and apply tension to it the batten will flex like a smile. I believe this what standing up is. More tension bigger "u" shape. What I would like to know is how you taper the top battens with a belt sander? Danny http://pirates.dwebz.net |

I suspect that you sand the area where you want to have the draft so that it is thinner than the rest of the batten |
