Hey guys, how are ya? I am thinking about selling my Turbo, but I don't know what to ask for it. It's a 79 I think (would have to check my records), yellow hulls, yellow tramp. The jib is old and actually ripped a bit last week. ![]() She has a trailer... it pretty nasty looking, but works well. New rims and tires last fall. The tramp lost it's hiking straps before I bought the boat... so I had to rig up some rope to hold the jib blocks. Works fine. The boat did not have a furler when I bought it. I was told it fell off the boat while he was towing... and he never tried to find it. Also, no trapeze lines or harnesses... only the dog bone. I was planning on upgrading everything on this boat, but I found a larger boat that I would like to buy. Thanks, Dave |

From your description, I would guess about $600. I paid $1100 for my 85 turbo and it was in excellent condition. Trailer was perfect, sail was crisp, tramp was good, and no soft spots. It was stored inside. Danny http://pirates.dwebz.net |

I'd have to agree. I bought a 14 in similar condition (in Grand Rapids, no less) two years ago for $600. Spent probably $1,000 on it to get it race ready (new sail, tramp, Comptip, lots of little bits and a whole lot of elbow grease). Sold it a year later (w/o the trailer) for $800. Kept the new sail, mast and tramp to go on a newer 14 ('85). |

Thanks guys. It looks like I'll be fixing her up after all. The boat I wanted sold this morning. If it was closer I would have bought it last week. http://www.hobiecat.com/community/viewt ... 5178#15178 ![]() |
