Post subject: | Tramp lacing question... |
Hi folks, I just bought an '83 H14T and ran into a little trampoline lacing issue. That is to say, I went to relace my tramp after buying to length lines suggested (2 - 15' for aft lacing, 1 - 19' for the center) and came up desperately short in the center, a solid three feet of line. The two aft lines were fine in fact a little longer than necessary. Now before I go buy some more line. I want to make sure I didn't screw anything up majorly. I've laced it in a zig-zag pattern, pulling tight at each grommit and clamping it down with a vicegrip to assure that I don't lose any tention as I go down. The lacing that I managed to get done is good and tight, as my tramp sounds like a nice drum if you hit it... (Okay maybe that a bit of an exageration but you get my drift). So, any thoughts on what gives? Any advice on lacing a tramp? Thanks, -Chris p.s. Anyone out there a Vermonter by any chance? Maybe in the Burlington area? ahh, wishful thinking. |

Double grommets? Likely someone has added grommets between the original factory ones? That would help explain the standard length line being short. |

Yeah my two used tramp sets each had extra grommets between the factory grommets, and i think i used around 31 to 33' of line for the lacing on one set it was obvious because the new grommets were smaller in diameter. |

I had the exact same problem on my 16. It ended up taking exactly 25 feet of line to do it. |
