| Post subject: | Jib Sail Refitting costs? |
So I remember reading the info on having H16 Jib sails cut down, but i couldnt find the thread, and first of all, I'm gonna need the dimensions if anyone has them (email: [email protected]). Also, since none of the local sailmaker shops are reachable by phone.... I was wondering if someone could tell me the approximate cost of recutting that H16 jib sail to a H14 jib. Im a cheap college student. And i think I've spent 50% of my income on Hobies in the last two years. Sigh. I should just sell everything else and get one of those Hobie mirage adventure island things. they look easy. |

I'll agree with you there... Hobie parts (and sailboat parts in general) are too expensive. I can think of about a dozen people who would be into it if they could afford it. I can't really afford it, so I look for other ways to come about boats and boat parts. I just scored an almost complete 18 parts boat for free, and I'm going to use the parts to complete the 17 I just bought last week.
