Post subject: | Fitting a Dolphin Striker |
I have bought a Dolphin Striker post, cables and hooks for my Hobie 14 from EBay. It is in good condition and the striker fits the cross bar perfectly. Which bolt hole do the hooks go in ? Do they replace the original bolt through the casting/pylon or do they go through the pair of holes at the upper front section of the casting ? Does anybody know what size the Pop Rivets are ? Thanks. |

The holes at the front of the castings are the ones to use. 3/16" rivets are used to attach the strut to the crossbar. They're there just to hold it in place - they don't rake any real load. |

I did eventually find a photo of a 14 on this forum with an identical Striker to the one I bought. I wonder what they cost new ? I paid about $60 on Ebay including shiipping. It was the first one I had seen for sale on there. |
