I'm new to sailing and am looking at several used Hobie 14. i have a good idea about condition but it is hard to nail down prices for this and the 16. what is the best resorce for pricing these boats? |

Age, condition and local sailing are key. I've bought several 80's Hobie 16's that needed work for $500-$800 with trailers but depending where you live I've seen very nice sold H14's out there that were well worth $1500... If you find a boat your interested in, post pictures and a link here. Better yet try to find other Hobie guys near you to bounce a potential boat purchase off of. it's better to spend more up front on a boat that needs nothing vs trying to find all kinds of parts to make one complete. If you plan on sailing with other people on your boat with you, consider a 16. If you sail mostly alone a 14 can be a lot of fun. |
