From what I can tell, your "factory cleat" is one from the '80s. They don't work nearly as well as the modern cleats (Harken or Ronstan). Harken 240 is what you want: ![]() Replace the bullseye with Harken 161 dual sheaves for very low friction operation: ![]() Hobie dealers also sell similar hardware. |
